چکیده

Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology is widely used in many communication scenarios. However, narrowband systems can easily interfere with the UWB system, which generates multipath fading. In order to solve these interferences and meet design requirements of high isolation multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antennas, two MIMO antennas double-notch structures are designed. Firstly, U-shaped slots etched on radiating patch feeder achieve notch characteristics WiMAX ITU bands. Using this antenna element, a two-element put symmetrically parallel, rectangular branches loaded improve isolation. The size 0.57λ × 0.32λ 0.013λ (at 2.5 GHz). Then, four-element designed for another application; here, each element placed orthogonally other, improved through loading cross-shaped branch middle elements. 0.013λ. Both samples tested verify design. Measurement results show that working bandwidth 2.45–14.88 GHz 2.14–14.95 GHz, greater than 17 20 dB, peak gain 5.7 5.9 dBi two- antenna, respectively. Compared references, have wider higher radiation efficiency. They well-suited diverse wireless applications.

Introduction to Ultra-wideband Antennas

In addition, a UWB antenna is preferentially nondispersive, having a fixed phase center. If waveform dispersion occurs in a predictable fashion it may be possible to compensate for it, but in general it is desirable to radiate similar waveforms in all directions. A logperiodic antenna is an example of a dispersive antenna. Larger scale components radiate low frequency components while smaller s...

Ultra-Wideband Printed Antennas Design

On February 14, 2002, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States adopted the First Report and Order that permitted the commercial operation of ultra wideband (UWB) technology (FCC, 2002). The FCC allocated a bandwidth of 7.5GHz, i.e. from 3.1GHz to 10.6GHz, to unlicensed use for UWB applications. Ultra Wideband is defined as any communication technology that occupies great...

A Miniaturized Ultra Wideband Slot Antenna with Band Notched Characteristic

A Compact planar slot antenna is proposed and developed for Ultra Wideband Applications. The antenna has compact size of 28 x 31 x 0.8 mm 3 . The antenna is fabricated with FR4 substrate and it is fed by Coplanar Wave Guide. The antenna is investigated experimentally to obtain required return loss, gain and radiation pattern characteristics. The antenna operates over a band between 3.1 GHz and ...

Two New Loaded Compact Planar Ultra-wideband Antennas Using Defected Ground Structures

In this paper, two new line-fed loaded planar antennas are proposed for ultra-wideband applications. The first antenna is a circular patch with a circular ring as a Defected Ground Structure (DGS). A 50 Ohm microstrip line passes through the antenna which is symmetrical between the feed and the load. The impedance bandwidth of the first antenna with S11 < −10 dB is more than 10 GHz, from 3 GHz ...

Ultra Wideband Antennas – Past and Present

Since the release by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of a bandwidth of 7.5GHz (from 3.1GHz to 10.6GHz) for ultra wideband (UWB) wireless communications, UWB is rapidly advancing as a high data rate wireless communication technology. As is the case in conventional wireless communication systems, an antenna also plays a very crucial role in UWB systems. However, there are more challen...
